PRIMARY HEALTH CENTRES
Strengthening Primary Healthcare at the Grassroots
Access to quality healthcare remains one of the most critical needs of any community. Recognising this, Rep. Babajimi A. Benson facilitated the construction and equipping of four Primary Health Centres (PHCs) across Ikorodu Federal Constituency to bring essential medical services closer to the people.
These facilities were strategically located to serve underserved communities, reduce travel time to healthcare centres, and improve access to maternal, child, and primary medical care. From antenatal services and routine immunisation to emergency first response and basic treatment, the PHCs are designed to support healthier families and stronger communities.
By strengthening healthcare delivery at the grassroots, these interventions have eased the burden on tertiary hospitals, improved early medical intervention, and restored dignity and confidence in public healthcare for thousands of residents across the constituency.
