In today’s technology-driven world, digital literacy is no longer optional - it is essential for education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and global competitiveness. Recognising this reality, Rep. Babajimi A. Benson has made strategic investments in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure as part of his broader youth empowerment and human capital development agenda for Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

One of the flagship interventions under this vision is the construction and equipping of a modern ICT Hub at the Ikorodu Ultra-Modern Town Hall, designed as a digital training and innovation centre for students, youths, and professionals. The facility is equipped with modern furniture, high-speed internet connectivity, alternative power supply, CCTV security systems, and hundreds of laptop computers, creating a conducive environment for digital education, computer-based training, and skills development.

The centre was established to bridge the digital divide, ensuring that young people in Ikorodu Division have access to the same technological opportunities available in leading global cities. By providing a well-equipped digital learning environment, the hub enables students to prepare for computer-based examinations, develop ICT skills, explore software tools, and gain exposure to emerging digital careers.

Beyond the Ikorodu Town Hall facility, another large ICT Hub is being developed in Imota, further expanding access to digital learning across the constituency and bringing technology closer to underserved communities. This growing network of digital learning centres reflects a deliberate strategy to ensure that young people across Ikorodu Division can acquire the skills needed to thrive in the 21st-century knowledge economy.

These ICT hubs are more than buildings filled with computers - they are innovation spaces where ideas are nurtured, skills are sharpened, and the next generation of leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs are empowered. By investing in technology infrastructure and digital education, Rep. Benson is helping to position Ikorodu youths to compete confidently in Nigeria’s rapidly evolving digital economy and on the global stage.
